The Nippon Maru Sculpture

The Nippon Maru 4-Masted Barque Sculpture is a meticulously handcrafted tribute to Japan’s famous training ship.

The original Nippon Maru was launched in 1930 by Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corporation. The four-masted barque served as a training vessel for Japan’s maritime education.

The Artwork

Created as a commissioned work, this sculpture was developed through extensive visual research, including photographs and basic schematics. The artist carefully recreated the ship’s towering masts and classic barque design.
